Alumni of the Year — As we present the Alumni of the Year Awards, our heartfelt prayer is that God will be honored and praised for the incredible ways He has worked in the lives of the recipients. We proudly celebrate each honoree as a true example of faith, character, and excellence—living out the calling to “Know Him and Make Him Known.” Their lives are a powerful testimony of God’s grace and faithfulness.
Alumni of the Year
Larry Dabeck (’89/’98)
As an ordained minister, Col. Larry Dabeck has invested his life as a chaplain in the U.S. Army while stationed in the United States, South Africa, Congo, Iraq and Afghanistan. His heart for wounded and dying soldiers earned him the army’s Bronze Star, and he has led marriage retreats for military couples and served as an armored brigade combat team command chaplain, assisting 5,000 soldiers.
