Ambassador Scholarship Program 24-25
We have 8 Student Ambassador positions open for Undergraduate and Graduate students. Ambassadors receive a $1,250 scholarship per semester. They are trained to give personal and group campus tours for prospective students and provide support for our on-campus Admissions Preview Events (1 Saturday per semester).
Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time on-campus student
- Maintain a 2.75 GPA
- Must have valid driver's license to drive golf cart
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Exhibit leadership, initiative, dependability, discipline, and enthusiasm
Responsibilities:
- Attend MANDATORY training on Monday, August 26 & Tuesday August 27 from 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- If you cannot make training due to other commitments, unfortunately, this is not the right fit for you.
- Provide campus tour coverage for 1-3 hours per week.
- Preview attendance (Saturdays October 19, 2024 and March 22, 2025)
- You can be excused for Athletic competitions (practices, work, etc. are not excusable for these two events).
- Attend 1 Team gathering near the end of each semester.
- Tours, Preview, Training and Meetings accumulate to about 45 hours per semester.

Application Process:
ALL of the following items must be received by Friday, July 5 to be considered for an Ambassador position.

- Complete a 1-2 minute video of your “CIU Story” and why you would be an amazing CIU Student Ambassador! Text the video to 803.743.2204 or email a link to visitciu@ciu.edu (We are looking at your “communication skills” and “personality” through this video. High production quality is not necessary).
Selections:
- First round selections will be asked to attend a virtual interview between July 1-3.
- Final selections will be made by Monday, July 8.
