Gambling is a hot topic in America today. In 2018, the United States Supreme Court ruled that the states could allow sports betting. It now exists in 38 states. Since then, it has taken off. You can’t watch or listen to a major sports event, without hearing a commercial for a sports betting website.
And with gambling comes the potential for an increase in gambling addiction.
Dr. Seth Scott, Columbia International University’s director of the Graduate Counseling Division, says counselors are now starting to see the symptoms that come with an increase in sports gambling addiction.
