Columbia International University Athletics made history the weekend of Jan. 31-Feb. 1 when the Rams baseball team took the field for the first time. The Rams dropped two out of three games to #16 Webber International University in Babson Park, Florida.

CIU Head Coach Jonathan Johnson was pleased with the way his team played over the weekend.

“Not easy starting the season on the road against a ranked opponent,” Johnson said. “Our team held their own and had a chance to win all three. We will continue to get better each week and now I have no doubt I have a team that can compete and make a run at the end of the season."
