Columbia International University’s Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling program is recognized as one of the best in South Carolina.
The website CounselingPsychology.org ranks the program at #3 in the state noting CIU approaches clinical training as “a faith-based calling, weaving biblical teaching through assessment, psychopathology, and counseling practice.”
CounselingPsychology.org provides educational resources for aspiring counselors and psychologists, offering comprehensive information on the educational requirements and career paths in counseling and psychology fields.
The website notes that CIU’s program holds an important accreditation from CACREP (the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs) and satisfies South Carolina’s academic and clinical requirements for LPC licensure, and pairs with a doctoral program in counselor education and supervision.
The CIU Master’s in Clinical Counseling program also ranks high for its small cohorts, faculty mentors, and two on-campus residencies that create a cohesive community for students across the state.
Dr. Seth Scott, assistant dean and director of the CIU School of Counseling, says the ranking demonstrates that CIU’s “focus on cultivating a Kingdom impact by training disciples through biblical worldview immersion is known and celebrated.”
“It reflects the hard work of our faculty in ensuring we are leading through Christ toward clinical excellence,” Scott added.
