New CIU nursing program featured on popular Columbia TV show

At a time when the need for nurses is high, Columbia International University’s new Bachelor of Science in Nursing program was a topic of discussion on the popular TV show “Soda City Live” on WIS TV hosted by well-known Columbia broadcaster Dawndy Mercer Plank.
Director of CIU nursing programs Dr. Jill McElheny outlined how CIU will educate nurses through an on-campus state-of-the-art Skills and Simulation Center and through clinical experience at Columbia area medical facilities.

McElheny also discussed a Nursing Information Session for the new program April 7 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the William H. Jones Center. That’s at the entrance to the CIU campus which is located at 7435 Monticello Road in Columbia.
