“It’s heaven on earth!”

That’s how Columbia International University freshman, Elizabeth Suskin described the bunny study break on the CIU Quad.

As the end of the semester draws near, students are feeling the pressure of upcoming finals, papers and projects. So, how about a snuggle bunny to calm body, mind and spirit?

Suskin was just one of the many students relaxing with a rabbit.

“It’s a break from studying and it’s better than finals,” Suskin said.

Serena Graber, a senior, called the study break “a great stress reliever to hold something soft and sweet.”

The bunnies were courtesy of CIU staff member Brooke Nardi from the Admissions Office.

“Everybody is really stressed out and has a lot going … the holidays are coming up so they're having to plan with family … I just thought it would be really nice to let them just get some bunny love,” Nardi said.

The Bunny Break was the first of many study breaks as finals are taken and the fall semester comes to an end.

CIU consistently ranks among the Top Regional Universities in the South by U.S. News & World Report, as well as a Best Value Regional University in the South. Apply now or request information on enrollment by contacting Admissions at (803) 807-5024 or admissions@ciu.edu.
