Columbia pastor and wife make headlines earning doctorate degrees at CIU

Two of Columbia International University’s most recent graduates say achievement is better when you do it together.

Aaron Bishop, pastor of Grace Christian Church in Columbia, and his wife Jennifer Bishop, celebrated walking the stage of Shortess Chapel, one after the other, at the May commencement ceremonies having each earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership.

“I and Jennifer are the teamwork that makes the dream work,” Pastor Bishop told WACH FOX 57 News. “If you want go fast, go alone. But if you want go far, go together."

Their story caught the attention of WACH FOX 57 News in Columbia. Jay Weaver visited CIU to file this report. They also appeared on the program "Awareness" on WIS TV.
