Columbia International University and the U.S. Army Chaplain Center and School (USACHCS) at Fort Jackson have signed an Academic Articulation Agreement (AAA). It offers the opportunity for Chaplain Corps enlisted soldiers attending courses under instruction by USACHCS, to complete an online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from CIU.
Of particular benefit to the soldier-students, is that the partnership takes the military training that they have completed and translates it directly into college credits. Also, Army active duty are eligible for a discounted rate of $250 per credit hour.
"We are excited to partner with Fort Jackson to honor the hard work that our military service members do each and every day by converting their experience into college credits,” said Scott Boyer, director of CIU Graduate and Online Recruitment. “It is just a small way for us to say thank you for their sacrifice."
U.S Army Chaplain Center and School Commandant, Chaplian (Col.) Bryan Walker says the U.S. Army Chaplain Center and School is very pleased to partner with CIU "as we establish and build a lasting relationship to bolster educational opportunities for Chaplain Corps soldiers on Active Duty."
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration offers leadership and management skills that are invaluable in a variety of organizational settings. Students learn to lead and administrate through collaborative, academically rigorous online classes.
