Middle School Assistant Principal
Description
Ben Lippen School is seeking a Middle School Assistant Principal (Grades 5-8) for the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities
The Ben Lippen Middle School Assistant Principal is responsible to:
- In tandem with the Middle School Principal, help lead the middle school in all areas of supervision, academic instruction, and student life.
- Direct the development, assessment, and revision of curriculum guides and courses of study.
- Observe and evaluate faculty members.
- Interpret the curriculum and its philosophy to the administration, the staff, and the general public.
- Coordinate vertical planning integration and curriculum mapping.
- Work with the Principal on cycle of curriculum evaluation and replacement.
- Work with the Principal and the Director of the Individual Learning Center in overseeing the student testing programs. Analyze test results and provide leadership for instructional modifications and interventions that enhance student learning.
- Plan and administer professional development programs for faculty and staff.
- Study, evaluate, and recommend adoption of new instructional materials, methods, programs, and assist in budget preparation of newly approved courses of study.
- Serve as a key leader in the school’s accreditation process and coordinate membership with various educational organizations (CESA).
- Work with the admissions department and assist with student screening as appropriate.
- Evaluate current technology integration while planning for the future of education and the role of technology.
- Help lead, supervise, evaluate, and coach middle school faculty and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Middle School Principal.
Qualifications
- Dedication to biblical integration in classroom lessons and activities.
- Academic content mastery and understanding.
- Ability to coach teachers on how to lead a classroom effectively, teach with excellence, and create an engaging, relational, and joy-filled learning environment for students.
- A clear desire and ability to lead in a student-centered, problem-based learning environment.
- Demonstrate excellence in planning, teamwork, and communication. We are looking for leaders who are willing to be creative, have a strong work ethic, can think "outside the box," and can work effectively as part of a team.
- Be of strong Christian faith and have a passion for serving children and families through the high calling of Christian education.
- Minimum of a master’s degree in the realm of Education, School Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, or Organizational Leadership (or in a closely related field) or willingness to achieve upon earning the position is expected.
