Kepha Undergraduate General Education Faculty and Program Coordinator
Description
The Kepha Faculty and Program Coordinator teaches general education courses in his/her related field and coordinates academic matters related to undergraduate programs including but not limited to Psychology, Education, Business Administration, and Computer Science. Additionally, the program director is expected to ensure the smooth operation of the Kepha undergraduate program.
Responsibilities
- Design and teach courses within the general education curricula.
- Foster and promote teaching excellence by providing faculty orientation, training, mentoring, evaluations, and managing course assessments.
- Manage academic affairs, including course scheduling, academic calendar oversight, adjunct teaching load coordination, internship placements, and advising selected students.
- Work closely with the Kepha dean and the operations director in projecting vision and strategic plans for the Kepha undergraduate program.
- Work closely with the Kepha dean and the operations director to recruit, train, and lead the Kepha undergraduate academic and administrative teams to ensure the smooth operations of all undergraduate majors.
- Work closely with the Kepha dean and the operations director in collaboration with MCKL, our local partner in Malaysia, in implementing the agreements stipulated in the memorandum of approval.
- Proactively reach out to and partner with the church networks in mainland China and Southeast Asia to ensure steady flows of students into the Kepha undergraduate program.
- Collaborate with Kepha marketing/admissions team to support student recruitment efforts.
- Oversee student spiritual formation and student life, ensuring integration with the broader undergraduate program.
- Collaborate with IT to set up and manage SIS and LMS systems.
- Work with registrar to ensure compliance with CIU academic policies.
- Coordinate with computer science faculty to facilitate the accreditation process for the computer science program on behalf of the Institute.
- Build and maintain relationships with the community, stakeholders, and other entities; serve as a positive representative and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill program mandates.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- This position expects a major recalibration at the end of 2029-2030 fiscal year as its academic and administrative functions grow into two or more positions.
Qualifications
Fluent in English and Chinese.
Leadership and supervisory experience required.
Embody servant-leader qualities that set the spiritual tone for the undergraduate faculty and staff team.
Ability to address student academic-related issues and concerns in support of retention and student success.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing in a creative and fast-paced environment.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively relate to and engage with diverse students, faculty, staff, and external communities.
Able to present a professional image on behalf of the Kepha Institute.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and learning management systems in support of quality teaching and learning.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
Critical thinking, positive attitude, and high energy.
Commitment to professional integrity, including knowledge of and commitment to upholding federal confidentiality guidelines regarding confidentiality of student academic information.

Doctoral degree or equivalent experience required.
Five plus (5+) years of related teaching and administrative experience required.
