Athletics Operation Coordinator

Description

The Athletic Operations Coordinator performs administrative and operational duties delegated by the Director of Athletics for the athletic department. 

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate transportation for athletic teams. 
  • Assist in the scheduling, hiring, and coordinating of student workers.
  • Process and maintain financial transactions for daily operations. 
  • Serve a role in gameday operations for home games as needed.
  • Serve as the point of contact for CIU athletics graduate assistant program.
  • Assist in event coordination for special events.
  • Process and coordinate with IT and the physical plant needs for the athletic department.
  • Other administrative tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of general athletics and the CIU mission.
  • Positive attitude. 
  • Strong, proven interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and coordinating skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and to quickly learn new concepts and technologies.
  • Strong ability to work under deadlines while handling multiple priorities.
  • Ability to make decisions based on Director of Athletics’ direction.
  • Flexible schedule; able to work some evenings and weekends.
