Health & Science Center
Training for Clinical Excellence. Grounded in Christian Conviction.
Today's Health Care Challenge
Health care systems around the world are facing a growing shortage of skilled professionals.
- SC ranks top of states with severe health care workforce shortages
- Projected shortfall: 12,000 nurses and 3,000 physicians in the next decade
- Caregivers who can deliver both technical competence and whole-person care are in demand
Patients and families need more than treatment — they need hope, dignity, and trusted professionals in moments that matter most.
Why CIU is Positioned for this Moment
CIU’s programs are already demonstrating what’s possible.
- Ranked #1 in South Carolina for nursing
- 100% NCLEX pass rate for two consecutive graduating classes (as of September 2025)
- Faculty expertise committed to both excellence and faith integration
Beyond test scores, CIU prepares graduates who are skilled, qualified, and equipped to live out their faith in every clinical setting.
The Health & Science Center
CIU is answering that call with a new 40,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art teaching home – CIU’s Health & Science Center. This new building is a step forward in accomplishing our vision for CIU to become a leader in Christian health care education.
Expanded labs and simulation space allows CIU to prepare more highly qualified caregivers — without sacrificing the individualized training and academic rigor that define our programs.
The Health & Science Center will feature:
Nursing Skills & Simulation
expands hands-on training space to increase capacity while maintaining small cohorts.
Advanced Science Labs
a research space, and a human performance lab to support future programs in exercise science & kinesiology.
Cutting-edge Equipment
such as ECG machines, metabolic gas-exchange systems, and training tools to give students real-world readiness.
The Health & Science Center is designed to build community. Freshmen through seniors, nursing and science faculty, future doctors and caregivers — all under one roof, sharpening skills and faith together.
How You Can Help
This isn’t just a building project. It’s a call to impact the nations — equipping students to bring healing, hope, and the message of Christ wherever God leads them.
Pray
Ask God to bless this project, the students who will be trained here, the professors who teach both health sciences and God’s truth, and the patients whose lives will be changed.
Invest
