Weather Advisory
Your safety is our priority. CIU monitors weather conditions closely and takes necessary precautions to ensure the well-being of our campus community during severe weather events.
Current Status
Due to hazardous travel conditions related to Winter Storm Fern, CIU will be closed on Monday, January 26th. This closure allows students who traveled home to remain there safely while travel conditions improve.
We anticipate a normal schedule on Tuesday. If weather conditions change, we will continue to share updates through the channels below:

Power outages remain possible across the Southeast. If a power outage occurs on campus, the dining hall will continue to offer meals; however, CIU buildings will not have heat. Students who remain on campus will receive additional communication from Student Life regarding available resources.
