Dorm Room Essentials
Each CIU dorm room comes with:
- Essentials Provided – Mini refrigerator, microwave, bed, desk, chair, bookshelf, wardrobe, dresser/stacker, sink, and mirror
- Shared Amenities – Wi-Fi, free laundry facilities, and access to a hall vacuum/broom
Amenities include:
- Free Parking – Conveniently located near residence halls
- 24/7 Resources – Computer labs, study lounges, and security
Room and Furniture Dimensions
Room Dimensions: 14 ft. x 14.75 ft.
Window Dimensions: 8 ft. wide x 4 ft. tall
Bed (Twin XL): 39.5″ wide x 85″ long. The bed height is set at 38″, but the frame can be raised or lowered to accommodate a variety of heights and storage needs.
Bedside Table: 20″ deep x 26″ wide x 28″ tall
Bedside Table Drawers (2): 9″ deep
Desk: 28″ deep x 36″ wide x 39″ tall
Dresser/Wardrobe: 21″ deep x 35″ wide x 75″ tall
Dresser/Wardrobe Drawers (2): 9″ deep × 20″ long x 33″ wide
The House Collective
CIU’s House Collective creates a campus-wide community through Houses that embody unique virtues. Open to all students (undergraduate, graduate, on-campus, and online), this year-long tradition includes service projects, intramural sports, and events that bring everyone together.
