Columbia International University’s Master of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood & Elementary Education equips aspiring Christian educators with the knowledge and skills to excel in early childhood and elementary settings. This program prepares graduates for initial state licensure recommendation in South Carolina for elementary education (grades 2–6) with an early childhood add-on (PreK–3rd grade), as well as certification through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
Designed for flexibility, the program allows students to start in the fall or spring and complete their degree in four full-time terms or at their own pace. This structure supports working professionals and those balancing other commitments. Through practical training, faith integration, and hands-on experiences, students develop as effective Christian educators who create dynamic learning environments. With dedicated faculty and a Christ-centered approach, CIU’s program empowers future teachers to make a lasting impact in the lives of their students. The program fosters both personal and professional growth, providing the tools needed to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.
