Description

Ben Lippen Lower School is seeking qualified individuals to serve as Q.U.E.S.T. Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year. The Q.U.E.S.T. (Quality, Unique, Extended School Time) program provides a safe, caring, and engaging after-school environment where students can continue learning, build relationships, and enjoy structured and recreational activities.

The Q.U.E.S.T. program is designed to be a true extension of the school day, continuing the Ben Lippen experience in a fun, caring, and safe environment. Students participate in a balance of structured and unstructured activities, outdoor recreation, and multi-grade learning experiences. Q.U.E.S.T. Teachers are responsible for providing high-quality care while implementing daily program activities.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist in preparing, planning, and implementing appropriate activities for students.
  • Work with all Q.U.E.S.T. personnel to brainstorm, plan, and prepare for after school programs.
  • Implement the Q.U.E.S.T. program procedures and policies effectively to ensure the safety of all participants in the program.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records such as attendance rosters, and all other paperwork to ensure program compliance and quality operations.
  • Implement effective behavior management and discipline procedures to provide for a positive classroom environment
  • Assist with maintaining, cleaning, and straightening of the designated classroom or area before, during, and after the program.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous teaching or childcare experience is valued.
  • Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Training and/or experience in early childhood education or childcare preferred.
  • Evidence of a mature personal Christian faith consistent with the Ben Lippen School Statement of Faith.
  • $13.00 per hour
  • Monday–Friday, 2:45 PM – 5:30 PM
  • Opportunity to work with elementary students in a Christ-centered environment.
  • Gain valuable experience in education and childcare.
