Description

The Head Esports Coach is a member of the CIU Athletics department and is charged with coaching, managing, and leading the co-ed CIU Esports program to compete at the collegiate level of Esports.

Responsibilities

Coach and administrate for all CIU Esports teams including Rocket League, Overwatch and Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
Manage and maintain the sports facility ensuring that all equipment is up to date and appropriately used.
Create and implement recruiting strategies to hit recruiting goals set by the Director of Athletics.
Ensure players meet eligibility requirements for participation.
Manage team schedule for practice, games, and study halls.
Cast vision for future projects within the program to promote growth.
Lead the team and players spiritually creating a culture of Christ-honoring athletes.
Work with other departments on campus to help achieve program goals.
Create a healthy competitive culture of winning within the program.
Forecast budget needs as well as create solutions to budget needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two (2) plus years’ experience in Esports industry as a coach, shoutcaster, manager, or other relevant position.
Evidence of a maturing relationship with Christ.
Evidence of a prior winning record and/or a significantly competitive rank in a respective Esports title.
