Description

C23 stands for “Community” + 1923 (CIU’s founding year). We form community through gaming (and snacks), hence the reason for the big “C” in the logo. Between our gaming systems, board games, weekend events, rental equipment, and snack area, C23 Game Room is the perfect place for CIU students to connect with friends and get away from the stress of school. C23 is looking to hire INTERACTIVE, BRIGHT, and COMMITTED workers to make C23 Game Room an amazing hotspot on campus.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Game Host:
- Greeting and interacting with students and guests
- Opening, closing, cleaning, and maintaining C23 facilities and equipment
- Renting out C23 equipment and games
- Selling drinks and snacks
- Working 4 – 8 hours a week, including weekends
- Pay is $10/hour
- Supervisor: Caleb Phillips, Game Room Manager
Game Night Host:
- Creating, marketing, and hosting weekend events for 10-20 students featuring games in the C23 Game Room
- Manage tournaments, scoring, and team dynamics
- Encouraging student engagement and team building
- Clearly communicate games’ rules
- Working 5 – 8 hours a week, including weekends
- Pay is $12/hour
- Supervisor: Caleb Phillips, Game Room Manager
Intramural Host:
- Recruit teams for intramurals
- Set up, host, and breakdown for games at facilities during weekends
- Manage tournaments, scoring, and team dynamics
- Encouraging student engagement and team building
- Working 4 – 10 hours a week
- Pay is $12/hour
- Supervisor: Jen Johnson, Associate Dean of Student Life

Deadline to apply: January 16th. Interviews will be scheduled during week of 19th-23rd.
