Description

The apartment maintenance technician is responsible for general repair and maintenance of the Pineview apartment complex at Columbia International University.

Responsibilities

General maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, lock repairs, and appliance work.
Cleaning breezeways.
Submit parts requests to procurement.
Submit work orders..
Preventative maintenance tasks.
Apartment turns.
Be available to be on call periodically.
Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of trades and skills needed to maintain and repair apartments.
Safe use of hand and power tools.
Must have a clean driving record.
Be able to use a computer and/or smart phone to monitor and manage work orders.
Must be self-directed and able to prioritize tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Be observant and be alert for safety issues.
Two years practical experience in facilities maintenance.
High School diploma.
Preference for HVAC certification.
