Description

The Advancement Initiatives Coordinator assists the Senior VP and advancement officers with the management of key Advancement functions in support of university objectives. This will involve working with CIU’s Events Coordinator and other key departments across campus. This role will also interface directly with donors, alumni and foundations and manage the flow of visits and phone calls from alumni, donors and friends. This is a local (on-site) position.

Responsibilities

Assist Senior VP of Institutional Advancement with departmental events and projects.
Support advancement officers with a broad range of initiatives, spanning from grants and foundation to estates and deferred giving.
Coordinate management of the front desk.
Manage contracts with outside vendors.

Qualifications

Excellent communications skills.
Experience with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge helpful.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
Ability to analyze problems and determine solutions.
Ability to handle numerous details with high rate of accuracy.
Aptitude for mathematical reasoning.
At least three years of communications and management experience preferred.
At least three years of institutional advancement experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required.
