Description

The Admissions Assistant is responsible for recruiting students for Ben Lippen School Online (BLSO) by following up with leads and helping prospective students and applicants throughout the admissions process.

Responsibilities

  • Work with prospective students from point of inquiry to registration.
  • Follow-up with prospective students through phone calls, emails, and texts to meet enrollment goals.
  • Coordinate admissions file review with faculty and other personnel.
  • Coordinate and schedule student interviews for enrollment.
  • Generate leads by seeking referrals from prospects, applicants, and current students.
  • Develop and publish social media posts to drive visitors to the website three to four times a week.
  • Think creatively about how to develop new strategies to successfully market to and recruit future students.
  • Work collectively with other staff and marketing professionals to develop strategies to expand quality and quantity of inquiries for BLSO.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in conjunction with the enrollment management strategies, needs, and objectives.
  • Purchase textbooks for staff and students; communicating with both parties how to access them.
  • Meet weekly with the admissions team at Ben Lippen School and the administrative team BLSO to further develop the program.
  • Curate dates for, review, and collaborate on the development of a yearly academic calendar publication.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for the BLSO student handbook.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to be flexible, precise, analytical, tactful, and persuasive.
  • Evidence of goal-oriented performance.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Exhibit positive attitude and high energy.
  • Knowledge of common software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and other office equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and often remote with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
