Lannie Ott, MA LPC/S, is passionate about helping future counselors understand how our mind, body, relationships, and faith are deeply connected and how caring for the whole person leads to better outcomes. She serves as Director of The Terrace Counseling Center at Columbia International University, where she is leading the development of a new community counseling center that will expand access to quality mental health services while providing clinical training opportunities for counseling students.
Her previous clinical leadership includes launching and directing a counseling program within a pediatric medical practice, collaborating with healthcare providers to increase access to behavioral health care. Lannie is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at CIU, where her research focuses on biopsychosocial-spiritual flourishing and the role Christian institutions can play in fostering whole-person well-being.
Lannie and her husband, Andy, have three sons. When she’s not teaching, counseling, or researching, she enjoys cheering on her boys at the baseball field, writing and singing music, playing guitar, and caring for the family’s useless farm of ducks.
