Biography

Dr. Joe LeTexier joined the Columbia International University faculty in 1996 after serving in cross-cultural ministry, primarily in Zaragoza, Spain. His international ministry experience continues to shape his teaching and his passion for preparing students to serve effectively in diverse cultural contexts.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. LeTexier has conducted extensive linguistic research on the Spanish language and is passionate about helping students connect linguistic theory with second language acquisition. He is committed to fostering an engaging learning environment where students develop both academically and practically for careers in TESOL and cross-cultural ministry. Beyond the classroom, he enjoys building meaningful relationships with students over a meal or a cup of coffee, encouraging their personal, professional, and spiritual growth.

Dr. LeTexier and his wife, Susana, a native of Spain, have been married since 1994 and have four children: Lucas, Marcus, Hannah, and Paul. As a family, they enjoy playing musical instruments and singing together, especially in church worship settings.
