Biography
Dr. Palmgren is the Program Director of the RN-BSN Program and an adjunct faculty at Columbia International University. She is also an alumni of CIU and graduated with a dual Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies and Associates Degree in Nursing. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, and her Masters of Science in Nursing and Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Palmgren is a dual certified nurse practitioner and currently works as Family Nurse Practitioner & Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Charleston, SC. She also serves in the U.S. Air Force Reserves as a Flight Nurse. Her prior nursing experience includes Adult and Pediatric care in ENT, ER, OR, PACU, and Drug & Alcohol Rehab. She has a passion for education and medical mission work, and loves being “back home” teaching at CIU.
