Manager of Data Intelligence

Description

The Manager of Data Intelligence will be responsible for architecting and developing business decision tools and dashboards. This role will provide strategic insights leveraging data and champion the implementation of a robust data infrastructure to support business intelligence initiatives across the organization. The position will oversee the database and business automation staff and report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex data sets to provide strategic recommendations, develop and implement data strategies, and promote a data-driven culture across the organization.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and decision tools and reports, collaborate with stakeholders on key performance indicators, ensure data accuracy, and document data protocols.
  • Collaborate with departments to understand data needs and align data initiatives with IT strategy.
  • Champion and lead the design of a secure data infrastructure, ensure data integrity, ensure continuity of data access, evaluate new data technologies, and lead the database and business automation team.
  • Stay current with industry trends, continuously seek process improvements, and implement best practices for data governance and security maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in data architecture, business intelligence, and data strategy. At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) and/or programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python).
  • Experience working with SIS/ERP datasets (e.g., Jenzabar, Populi)
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines. Able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expert knowledge of data security/privacy practices and regulations.
  • Experience managing a team of IT professionals.
  • Ability to perform duties of this position onsite or remotely under telework agreement.
  • Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., PowerBI, Power Automate) training preferred.
  • Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, CompTIA Data+, or similar certification required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field;  Master’s preferred.
