Can 12 people, each with a different background and set of beliefs, agree on what is true?
That’s the question posed in the CIU Thespian’s spring presentation of “Twelve Angry Jurors.”
“Twelve Angry Jurors” is a suspenseful drama that takes place entirely within a jury room following the closing statements of a murder trial. While the case appears open-and-shut, one man wishes to discuss the case further. Tensions rise, prejudices are revealed, and arguments grow increasingly heated.
The play is director by Digital Media & Cinema major Jonathan McGaha, a senior, who promises that the audience can expect an engaging, thought-provoking plot.
“I love how each and every one of our cast members displays his or her own distinct quirks and personality,” McGaha said. “Everyone contributes in a meaningful way to the story, and everyone gets their time to shine. Whether you’re a fan of mysteries, courtroom dramas, or stories that hold a deeper meaning about our everyday lives, there’s absolutely something for you in this production.”
“Twelve Angry Jurors” will be presented in CIU’s Hoke Auditorium April 25–27. The times are:
- Friday the 25th: 7 p.m.
- Saturday the 26th: 7 p.m.
- Sunday the 27th: 3 p.m.
