Description

The plumber/appliance repair technician maintains, repairs, and installs plumbing equipment, fixtures, and systems, and maintains and repairs residential and commercial kitchen appliances.

Responsibilities

The plumber/appliance repair technician will:

Perform routine maintenance of plumbing equipment, fixtures, and systems.
Troubleshoot and repair toilets, faucets, water heaters, expansion tanks, valves, drinking fountains, etc.
Replace/install plumbing equipment and fixtures.
Perform minor plumbing projects.
Monitor sewage lift stations.
Monitor grease traps, schedule grease trap service and manage documentation.
Troubleshoot and repair residential and commercial kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, steam cookers, microwaves, mixers, ice machines, dishwashers, slicers, refrigerators, freezers, etc.
Submit work orders.
Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Broad plumbing knowledge required.
Knowledge of residential and commercial kitchen equipment repair.
Ability to use a wide variety of power and hand tools.
Ability to use a variety of test equipment such as meters, gauges, etc.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment, research problems, find solutions.
Ability to lift heavy objects safely.
Must be able to understand and use technology.
Must be able work independently, be able to prioritize tasks and manage time well.
Must have strong communication skills.
One-year technical school plumbing certificate preferred.
Residential and commercial kitchen equipment repair experience preferred.
Two years plumbing or general maintenance experience required.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
