Description

The Grounds Department at Columbia International University is seeking two Grounds Assistants to support the full-time grounds crew in maintaining a clean, attractive, and well-kept campus environment. This position provides hands-on experience in campus grounds maintenance while contributing to the daily appearance and upkeep of the university.

Responsibilities

• Assist the full-time grounds crew with daily landscaping tasks.
• Mow lawns and maintain grassy areas.
• Prune trees, shrubs, and other landscape features.
• Edge sidewalks, curbs, and landscaped areas.
• Operate weed-eating equipment.
• Apply mulch and assist with general grounds maintenance.
• Perform other groundskeeping duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift equipment or materials as needed.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
