Meet members of the Class of 2021 as they discuss their time at CIU and look to the future

Josiah Anzenberger is from France, but will remember CIU his second home, “a place where I feel accepted and where I belong.” He double majored in Intercultural Studies and Business Administration with a Bible core.

How has CIU prepared you for the future?

CIU has provided the perfect environment for me to grow and thrive. I have learned from the best professors in the world who have poured so much into me. I have also made amazing friends here that have challenged my faith and made me who I am today. I am ready for whatever the Lord has in mind for me, and I will cherish these years at CIU forever!

What is your fondest memory of CIU?

I have enjoyed serving the student body as a resident assistant this year. My hall, Cassels 2, has been an enormous blessing to me. I have loved pouring into these men of God and seeing them grow in their faith. God is doing great things at CIU, and I had the privilege of being a part of His work.

What has God taught you during your time at CIU?

I have learned that God is faithful. Even amid fear and doubts, I can trust in the Lord with all my heart; He takes care of me. Proverbs 3:5-6 has become a core verse throughout these years. I have been amazed by God’s faithfulness in the years past, and I cannot wait to see the plans He has for me!

What will you miss the most about CIU?

I will miss the community the most. My friends and professors have made such a significant impact on my life; I know that I will miss spending time with them.

What are your future plans?

I envision going abroad in a couple of years to work with Christian nonprofits. I have a heart for serving God’s kingdom and being both salt and light in the business world.
