Description

The IT Client Services/Help Desk Administrator administers support for help desk clients and administers business functions of the department in the areas of IT documentation management, vendor/customer management, and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide help desk support and manage help desk work schedules aligned with ITIL service desk practices. Also assist with A/V support, IT purchasing, and inventorying.
  • Assist with the onboarding, transfer, and offboarding of technical users
  • Manage external vendor and internal customer relationships aligned with ITIL supplier/relationship management practices. Coordinate IT vendor contract reviews, improving annual IT support cost savings or product value to the organization.
  • Manage IT documentation libraries and reviews, and perform tasks related to process development aligned with ITIL knowledge management practices.

Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) to include interaction with vendors, faculty, departmental head, deans, and staff.
  • Must be a problem solver demonstrating the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and end-user capabilities.
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Three (3) years’ experience working in a higher education academic environment preferred.
  • ITIL experience or certification preferred.
