Two young South Carolina women who finished at the top of their class will be freshmen in the fall at Columbia International University.
Rebekah Thomas is the valedictorian for the class of 2011 at Northwood Academy in North Charleston. Rebekah says she will be majoring in Bible and Applied English with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. She also told the Charleston Post & Courier newspaper that she hopes to one day be a missionary in the Middle East or Eastern Europe, as well as a teacher and a mom. Rebekah would also like to know at least five languages.
Meanwhile, the 2011 valedictorian at Calhoun County High School is also coming to CIU. Kerry Ann Stout plans to major in Intercultural Studies and Bible.
