Degree or Certificate Seeking StudentsIf you desire to get a Degree or Certificate from CIU, you will need to complete the full application for the appropriate school (Undergraduate, Graduate, or Seminary). Once your application and transcripts have arrived you may begin taking courses up to 12 semester hours. You must submit the remaining application materials, including the Christian Experience Essay and the three references to enroll in additional semester hours. If you are undecided or not planning on getting a degree at CIU, complete the application and submit official, final transcripts. You can take up to a maximum of 12 semester hours. You do not need to complete and submit the Christian Experience Essay and the references. If you plan to enter a degree program at a later date, you will be required to finish the application. International students wishing to be Non-degree seeking online students must submit the following, regardless of whether they plan to attend CIU fully later:
If you are a student at another University and desire to transfer credits from CIU to your school, please contact the CIU Registrar's office for more information (registrar@ciu.edu or (803) 807-5033). You will also be eligible for the discounted tuition guest rate.

In order to enroll for credit in an undergraduate course, you must hold a high school diploma or equivalent. In order to enroll for credit in a graduate or seminary course, you must hold an accredited undergraduate degree.
An official transcript must be received directly from the academic institution attended. Transcripts received from the student are not acceptable.
