Dozens of Christian school teachers and administrators from across the nation and around the globe gathered on the campus of Columbia International University July 8-13 for the International Institute for Christian School Educators (IICSE). The annual event is held on the CIU campus and is presented by the Lowrie Center for Christian School Education at CIU.
The Institute focuses on the philosophy of Christian school education and its implications for today’s Christian school. But this year’s gathering had an even greater commitment to training and preparing newly appointed administrators and teachers.
Seminars and workshops offered this year included: “Biblical Philosophy of Teaching and Learning,” “Working with the Home,” and “Critical Thinking.”
The keynote speaker was Dr. Glen Schultz, headmaster of Sherwood Christian Academy in Albany, Ga., and the author of “Kingdom Education.”
