Joy in the “Mourning”

May 01, 2014

Columbia International University alumna Linda Gill says her grief care ministry is unique. “Joy in the Mourning Center for Life Losses” is for anyone who has experienced any kind of life-changing loss. It could be the death of a loved one, the loss of a limb, or even the loss of a pet.

Gill, who graduated from CIU with a counseling degree in 2003, says the ministry is inspired by Psalm 30:5, which reads, “Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.”

Gill says “Joy in the Mourning” offers support, friendship and hope in a non-judgmental environment to help move people through their grief to a joyful tomorrow.
