M.Div. (Global Studies)

  • I’m a pastor of a medium sized church with a heart for the unreached. What advantage would this degree give me over another?

Local churches continue to engage the nations in innovative and strategic ways. Global studies will also serve you well right in your local community as you discover your cultural distinctives and learn to serve your multi-cultural world at home.

  • I’m headed overseas and wonder if I can do the degree on-line?

The M.Div. is the foundational course for professional ministry. A full-time student can complete the full course (program 1) in 4 years. Many students complete the degree from their overseas base, combining online courses (up to 49% of your credits) with residential one-week intensives and classes offered at one of our campuses. Our AccessCIU study track tailors the M.Div. for nonresidential students who are in service.

  • What doors will this degree open?

This lays the foundation for professional ministry in a variety of church roles. It includes studies in the biblical languages which equip the graduate for the ministry of the Word. It also meets academic prerequisites for future doctoral studies in ministry.
