M.A. (Intercultural Studies)

  • I can't do the whole program now. Are there ways I can get started without spending a year or two on campus?

Yes. Intercultural Studies courses are offered in one, two, and three-week modules during the January "Winterim" and the May-through-July Summer Studies Program. Several Intercultural Studies courses also are available through distance education from Columbia Extension.

  • The nation where I intend to work does not welcome persons with "missions" degrees. Will this program meet my need?

Absolutely! Many students select the M.A. (Intercultural Studies) program for precisely that reason.

  • Will this degree equip me for doctoral studies at a major university if I decide I want to extend my education?

This M.A. combines strong scholarship and effective professional application. Like all other programs at CIU Seminary & School of Missions, it is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools and by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is recognized everywhere.
