Cougar Cruise – A Creative Way to Float Your Boat

November 01, 2010

Playing off the Columbia International University mascot - the Cougar, CIU students used ingenuity and teamwork to do some unique boating on the CIU Lake in the first ever "Cougar Cruise." But this was certainly not a cruise on a luxury ocean liner.

The Cougar Cruise was a contest, of men versus women. Each team had 40 minutes to build a one-person boat out of the cardboard, trash bags, and duct tape.

Then, from a floating dock, each team launched its boat into the water and raced to the shore while dodging water balloons.
