The Columbia International University Rams men’s and women’s cross country teams have been named fall 2013 Scholar Teams by the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA).

There were a total of 35 NCCAA teams who met the criteria for the academic award which is a minimum grade point average of 3.40 (on a 4.0 scale) for all combined student-athletes on the team.

The GPA for the men’s team was 3.63 and 3.4 for the women. CIU Athletics Director Kim Abbot calls the honor “an outstanding achievement.”
