The House Throwdown is one of CIU’s most popular events for the student body and is now open to parents, alumni, and the local Columbia community. Seven student houses compete for the House Throwdown championship, as well as for points for the prestigious House Cup. The event is organized by students, including musical arrangement, choreography, acting, and prop design. Each house is led by two Resident Assistants, student leaders selected by the Residence Life team, who rehearse with their house starting in September to put on a show that is fun and full of Ram pride. All attendees will get a sticker of the house they choose. House merchandise will be for sale (cash or card).
