During this three-day event, the R.C. McQuilkin Scholarship (named for our first president) will be awarded. This award covers full-tuition at CIU for four years

This exciting weekend will include faculty interviews, group discussions, interaction with current students and staff, and opportunities to fellowship with potential classmates. To qualify, students must:

  • be a high school senior (planning to start classes at CIU in the fall term after their high school graduation);
  • have a minimum GPA of 3.0; and
  • have either an SAT score of 1000 or above (total of math &critical reading sections, excluding writing section) or an ACT composite score of 21 or above.

Interested participants must first complete an online registration form, which will become available June 2, 2014. The following items are required to complete your registration:

3. One-page leadership resume, highlighting your school, church, and community involvement
4. Unofficial high school transcript (minimum 3.0 GPA)
5. SAT or ACT scores (minimum 1000 total of math and critical reading on SAT; minimum 21 on ACT)
6. Recent digital photo of yourself

The deadline to register and submit all the necessary paperwork is Friday, October 31, 2014. Please note that CIU will only accept the first 60 participants who complete the entire registration process (items 1 - 6 above).

Transcripts and test scores may be mailed to Columbia International University, Undergraduate Admissions, 7435 Monticello Road, Columbia, SC 29203.

Accepting CIU Scholarships

Students awarded  the R.C. McQuilkin Scholarship will be asked if they accept when called by our President, Dr. Bill Jones. To secure the scholarship, the student must submit a $200 deposit ($100 enrollment and $100 housing). This amount will be credited to the student's account.

Restrictions

The student recieving the R.C. McQuilkin Scholarship is not eligible for any other CIU scholarships. All students receiving scholarships must complete a FAFSA.

Travel and Accomodations

Travel to CIU is at the student's expense. If the student is traveling by air to Columbia, please notify CIU so that a CIU representative can transport the student from the Columbia airport to campus.
