Yes, a limited number of education courses are offered on campus during summer intensives as well as online during the fall and spring terms.
No. However, teacher certification usually requires some linguistic knowledge. Teacher certification agencies (varies from state to state) sometimes require one course in linguistics and one course in syntax. To meet these criteria, our program includes Linguistics 1 and English Syntax.
Yes, this degree prepares graduates to teach in K-12 classrooms in Christian schools, International schools, and English Language Institutes worldwide. Upon completing this program, students can be recommended to receive Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) K-12 certification in TESOL. Students will also be exposed to adult learner strategies within some of the coursework and therefore are prepared to teach adults should that be required.
The program can be completed in 12 months or more, depending on the needs of the student.
