What is the format of the Summer Institute?
In addition to daily general sessions and elective workshops, delegates are given the opportunity to select an in-depth study track to meet their specific professional development needs.
Study tracks can include Bible training, personnel law, budgeting and finance, leadership development, school assessment, and specific instruction in academic content areas.
Two exciting new offerings this year at IICSE are AdvancED Training and The Truth Project Training–For Site Facilitators. Commuters are also welcome to join us for either of these trainings at a special conference price.
AdvancED Training: This 3 day course (Mon–Wed) is an in-depth training for dual accreditation; in which the AdvancED and ACSI processes, procedures, and reporting will be covered. Training will be led by AdvancED and ACSI personnel. (There is no additional cost for IICSE registered delegates). Commuters can take the 3–day training for a fee of $250 which includes all materials and lunch each day. For commuter registration, please fill out the IICSE form either online or print it. Be sure to mark the AdvancED Training box for commuters.
Truth Project Training—For Site-Facilitators
Join us for this innovative seminar in which we will train you to prepare your staff to meet the ACSI philosophy requirement using The Truth Project® material (DVD set and website) from Focus on the Family. One CEU in professional studies is issued upon completion of the training session.
The Truth Project: An ACSI Philosophy-Requirement Option course will allow your staff to meet ACSI’s philosophy requirement for teacher and administrator certification. Your participants will receive three CEUs in biblical studies and three CEUs in educational studies through this course. In addition, as a site facilitator, you will receive an additional three CEUs in educational studies each time you teach it (an additional fee of $85 will be required for IICSE registrants for the Focus DVD set).
